left-hand-turns configuration variables

U.P.S. to limit further the number of left-hand turns its drivers make.

I'm amazed how a big-company is trying to make a small rule that prove to give such a big benefit.

I'm amazed how they measured the impact. It's a cool metric. Is it accurate or just good PR ?

Trying to dream and compare software design with Earth-living: would be good to have as configurable many aspects of the life.

Then from time to time -- governments / politicians / etc to meet and tune the configuration variables.

Also people to really vote for configuration-parameters and not for PR teams.

To check if life is better, gas emissions lower, people happier, healthier, etc.

For example the "municipality of Bucharest" is living a century ago. They didn't heard about "no left turns". Budapest already has that since some time.

Politics and democracy in general are so much behind "good software design patterns". New updated patterns for politics and democracy should be developed. Otherwise the risk is to have an increasing number of people living increasingly virtual .. :-)
