top gear on myspace tv

BBC is real television - already say that. They create real content. CNN/others look cool - but are not so profound with content.

On the other side - new media like hi5 or myspace I think are waste of time for busy professionals / people. Well - u can get in touch with people using them - but if you have an internet connection then you have an email address or a telephone - so you can get in touch with friends without these social-sites also :-)

Probably social sites are better for very young or very single people. It's about the very variety of people. Weird people having emotional intelligence issues may find better over the social networks ...

Ops - I wanted to say something else.

Personally I don't find myself interested in using myspace - because it's my personal opinion the general behavior is to use it for superficial things. You get an invitation from a buddy you respect - and when you have time you go and join such a site because "it is the current fashion to join such sites -- or you don't want your buddy to think you ignore he's request". I may be wrong.

BUT - what about mixing the two worlds - the one of 'real content' and the one of 'very huge fashion/momentum user base' ?

myspace.com just got my respect for doing this: now u can watch over hundred of small movies about Top Gear on them. How can you not love these guys for their dedication and ideas ? :-)

Actually this news is since several weeks - but I didn't had time to check the 1000+ unread rss tech news - nor to write on my blog.

Fortunately I "read this good news on bbc on 88FM in Bucharest/Romania".

On short: I will start checking religiously myspace tv - checking for such 'real content behind'. They did a good move with this. In the end maybe social networking sites may have good/real content behind :-)
