dreaming even more - such a brain scanning tool can be eventually a new "peripheral input device" for computers, cells, pda, etc etc. that new device can be incorporated into all new devices and local applications -- or even better usable by websites via local "Javascript" like. It can have access to read "your current state".

then searches or content-building may be tuned for "your state".

for the hacking underground industry - it would be a challenge to actually control some brains - so transforming this device into a "output device".
