read books online: Safari Oreilly

I was commenting some time ago about the Amazon Kindle.

Honestly it gave the idea to not only look for free books and documentation online - but also to try reading books online.

Somehow I came to Safari Books Online.

For around $22.99 you can read "10 slots" -- which can mean 10 books -- for one month!!!

Such a good deal.

No more books in your personal library you never read again. No more dust and maintenance on them. Just go with "subscription model" and for about $3/month you read a book in electronic format.

Now that monitors are increasingly good -- I'm starting to prefer online books :-)

Maybe this is a trend -- moving from printed to online.

Btw -- I have attempted to read online books from Safari with my Windows Mobile based pda/phone -- but it's impossible.

Maybe Amazon Kindle is good for something ... maybe it works when you're in subway ... or on a busy road. PDA doesn't yet.
